We know that handing your child over to someone else is a huge decision for any parent and we take the responsibility you pass us, incredibly seriously. Our staff are experienced in Early Years and genuinely love being with children all day long!
At preschool, to help the children identify their names we give them a picture name. You might spot some below for the adults too!

About me...
Hello, I'm Laura and the manager of Tytherington Pre-School.
I joined the Pre-School committee as treasurer when my son started in 2016. I loved the feel of the preschool so decided to join the staff as deputy manager when he started school, and I am now manager of the Pre-School.
After completing A Levels, I went straight to college to complete my NNEB. I quickly started my career in childcare, firstly as a Nanny were I looked after 2 girls. I stayed in that same job for 17 years until they could drive themselves around!
My favorite part of working in the early years sector is the funny things the children say, watching them grow in confidence and develop their own little characteristics.
Outside of Pre-School I enjoy playing netball and going on walks with my Labrador, Ivy.
My weekends seem to be taken up taking my son to his various sporting activities.

About me...
Hi I’m Chiyo, the Deputy Manager at Tytherington Pre-School.
I have worked at the pre-school for 7 years and feel very fortunate to be working alongside such a professional, caring team and supportive committee.
Before beginning my career at the pre-school I worked within the NHS supporting families of children with complex needs. I also gained valuable experience in education through placements in reception, year 1 and year 2 at Ashley Down Infants, as well as in a nursery setting in Filton.
At home, I am married with 3 children. We're an active family who love exploring the countryside on long forest walks. We share our lives with two ponies, Buster and Moonie, and our wonderfully energetic spaniel, Spud.
We also enjoy travelling together and discovering new places.

Hi I'm Sonia, I am a level 3 Qualified Pre-school Practitioner at Tytherington Pre-School
I have been working at Tytherington Pre-school since May 2025 and have enjoyed working with such a great team.
I have been working in childcare since I was 17 years old, and started as an apprentice in a nursery while completing my NVQ level 3 in childcare.
I have worked in a range of childcare settings including nurseries, have extensive experience of childminding and have also previously worked as a nanny.
I am a mum of 2 boys who love being outdoors and I love to share my passion for outdoor play with the children that I care for.

Hi I'm Caroline, I am a Pre-school Practitioner at Tytherington Pre-school
I have been working at Tytherington Pre-school since November 2024. I am new to my childcare, and I am really enjoying my role within the Pre-school!
I love planning craft activities for the children to get stuck into and also helping the children get involved in all the wonderful activities the Pre-school has to offer.
The pre-school team are just wonderful and supportive, and it really shows in how the children thrive here.
I have 2 daughters, who are now in secondary school which is pretty scary in itself! but this gives me more time to focus on my career.
We are looking to compile a list of ‘go to’ people who may be able to help out at short notice to be on our Bank staff, so if you are willing and have the appropriate EYFS training, or know anyone who has/is, we would love to hear from you.
